SURRENDERING A PET
Because of limited facilities, we can only accept animals as space becomes available. All animals are evaluated before acceptance, and by appointment only.
We hope you have exhausted all other options before you consider surrendering your pet (training, family, finding an apartment that allows pets). Your decision to surrender is final and you will be transferring ownership of your pet to Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. You will not be able to have the animal back.
Because we are a non-profit organization run on donations, you will be asked to leave a contribution when you surrender an animal. All pets must be up-to-date with shots. The average cost of care for an animal during its stay is well over $150.
