Greetings, and thanks for visiting our V.I.P. Club Page!!

One of the most common things we hear at RBARI is “Wow! What a great pet he/she would make! I wish I knew someone to adopt him/her!”  Often the ideal home for each pet is difficult to find. Sadly, all too often we have pets who remain at our shelter much longer than we expected them to; especially given their amazing personalities.  Through our V.I.P. Program, RBARI is reaching out to people like yourself who are as anxious as we are to to see our loving pets in perfect forever homes.

To receive monthly emails notifying you of our RBARINewsletter V.I.P.s, click on the image below to sign up for our V.I.P.Newsletter.  Included in the email Newsletter will be links to the special page for each of the V.I.P. pets. You will then be able to download printable fliers for posting around your neighborhood or distributing to friends.

Through this program there are several ways you can help!

Distribute Information on RBARI V.I.P.s, by email to friends or family or post V.I.P. fliers in your neighborhood or workplace. We encourage you to forward the emails, or use the information provided to get the word out on these loveable V.I.P.s.  V.I.P.s are generally selected on the basis of their length of stay at RBARI or on special circumstances that make their adoptions more challenging. The more we are able to get out the word, the better chance we have of the perfect home coming forward.

Donate to help RBARI V.I.P.s. If you are unable to adopt one of these sweeties, or don't have the time to post flyers, but would like to contribute to their care, you will also be able to donate by following the link to the V.I.P. information.  Donations are just as important, as RBARI is a private shelter and relies solely on donations made by our supporters.

The commitment you make to the program is completely up to you, spend a little time forwarding on information, a little more time posting fliers, or donate quickly and easily. We are confident that with your help we can find excellent homes for our furry friends! You can join the V.I.P. Club at RBARI by submitting your email address at the shelter, or logging onto our website and looking for the V.I.P. Club link. Read below for more details about our “Very Important Pets”.

We hope to hear from  you soon!

Poor Simone was originally left at our doorstep and then adopted into a home for a year or two but because of a new family member's severe allergies she was returned. Simone is overlooked at the shelter because her calm demeanor makes her keep to herself. She likes attention and treats, and will play in the sink and drink out of the faucet! Once she gets to know you, she becomes a lap cat. She is an independent girl who will be a great companion. Please consider giving Simone the forever home and happiness she deserves.

Roxy is one lucky girl! Not only has she found a new home, but she has been reunited with one of her siblings in the process! Roxy's new Mom and Dad are the Grandparents of her brother Lewis who was adopted when they were puppies together here at the shelter. Roxy couldn't be happier and we are confident that we have finally found her perfect family!

ROXY IS STILL IN NEED OF MAJOR MEDICAL CARE.
You may recall that Roxy had been making the rounds to various Veterinarians and Orthopedic Specialists in order to determine what was wrong with her hind legs. The doctors have found that Roxy has not one, but TWO completely torn ACLs that will require major surgery to fix. Since both legs can not be repaired at the same time, Roxy will have 2 hospital stays in her future. We are very thankful that Roxy will have the comfort of a new bed and a loving family to go home to after her surgeries, and we are now looking to our RBARI community to help raise the funds necessary to provide Roxy with the medical care she needs. PLEASE help us to raise funds for Roxy by donating on our website http://www.rbari.org/ and noting in the comment section "For ROXY", and by getting the word out to others who may be willing to donate as well.

At first I was a little anxious at RBARI. I had a home and bed of my own for 4 years and the next thing I know I’m at the shelter sharing space with so many other cats. But I'm getting more comfortable every day. I even meow at the staff for attention. I've been having a lot of fun playing with toy mice and my catnip carrot! And i really love to be brushed and pet. I'm a quiet guy .....is there a calm home out there looking for me?

Marley was abandoned in a crate with his friend Ziggy on the side of the street. He was severely neglected both physically and emotionally. We have helped him fully recover medically, and now we are working on mending his broken spirit. Marley needs an owner that can provide a balanced and stable home environment for him., but that will also show him what it feels like to be loved. Training staff and volunteers are working on crate training and basic obedience with him. He has come a long way and learns quickly. Marley comes with a free private lesson prior to adoption. Please, come in and visit with Marley.

Zoey is a gorgeous dilute calico declawed female. She is very playful and loves lots of attention and will greet you and follow you around like a dog. Zoey can live with a dog but isn't sure about another cat. At times she is overly generous with her love and gives love bites so a home with older kids is best. Zoey is a sweet affection girl that is waiting for a home to spoil her like the little princess she is!

Skeet and Jonesy are middle aged brothers who are closely bonded to each other. It's common to see them swatting a mouse back and forth or sleeping together in one bed. These two boys are mellow and independent. They love attention and would make a wonderful addition to a calm home.

Cher is just the friendliest, most intelligent little lady. She is so happy to soak up any attention you can give her and in return will bombard you with kisses of gratitude. She is EXTREMELY smart! She learns quickly and responds immediately to the instructions of a firm leader. Cher knows how to walk properly on a leash and will happily do so when allowed to carry her favorite stuffed toy around. This little lady is very playful and would do best in a home that has the time to interact with her and keep her on her toes, teaching her new things every day.

Irving is so adorable! He is just about 1 year old and is a super friendly, social guy. He was rescued from from a city shelter where they had found him as a stray wandering the streets. RBARI took him in and nursed him back to health. After everything he's been through, all he craves is attention. Irving has vision problems...He can see but his vision is impaired. A specialist has just informed us Irving has a degenerative eye disease and will most likely be blind by May 2008. He is so desperate to be loved! Please give this little man a chance at the wonderful life he deserves while he can still see his new home!

Edy is a sweet senior beagle, approximately 9 years old, who was turned into a local shelter when a woman found her wandering alone in the park. It is quite clear to the staff at RBARI that all Edy wants in life is a nice cozy bed, as she spends her time snoozing away in the comfort of a big blanket :) Edy is happy to stretch her legs and greet adopters at the front of her kennel, and she'll never turn her nose up at a walk. She will make a great companion for a lucky adopter willing to open their home to Edy. Please come meet her at the shelter.
